Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in the United States (AFSP). Suicide doesn’t discriminate…it doesn’t have a face or a personality, or a certain type of home or particular family. We cannot continue to believe that it can’t happen in our homes or our neighborhoods, to our kids or our friends. It happens everyday.
5 years ago our community lost Tyler to suicide. He was beautiful. He was popular. He was athletic. He was a good friend with a larger than life personality. He was 16. He was a son. He was a boy.
Remove the stigma. Have the conversation. Be there for one another…Before it’s too late.
